■ 2019 | PINHEAD PHOTOS
■ Mask and Costume I bought online. It took a huge amount of work to get the frame to sit right. I thought the lighting and prop placement was better in 2019 than in 2018. Also, in 2019, I spent more time padding out the frame. I've added in some of the best photos I could find from the 2018 and 2019 haunts.

■ FRAME WORK | BUILD PHOTOS
■ Again, the build started out with a basic framework structure and weighted down at the back to prevent the costume and other things from toppling it over.
■ Lots of wood drilled down at the back of the frame to keep it stable. Also pictures here are the building and construction of the arms.
■ The connecting pipes were screwed in multiple places to prevent them from moving. This made it super easy to disassemble them and modify things later on.
■ THE MASK
■ The mask arrived late which put the whole construction back by two weeks. Didn't look too cheesy in the end. The eyes were particularly well done.
■ INITIAL PROP TESTS
■ TESTING THE BEST POSITIONS
■ I have so many photos of the haunt builds, this was a colossal challenge to decide what photos to feature on this website. Especially when it came to Pinhead. Here I'm testing various looks and positions to see which ones worked best.
■ This was before the full Pinhead costumed went on. When it did, It added so much weight to the framework, I had to add double the amound of weight at the back.
■ I also padded out the arms and main body with plastic bags and gaffa tape to give the whole thing some shape.
■ PINHEAD | RO SYLVESTER
■ OCTOBER 2019
■ A friend of mine Cliff Lawrence knew Ro Sylvester who was in charge of Doug's costumes for the Hellraiser movies.. It would have been great to have her visit, but sadly we lost touch during the pandemic.
■ I've included some of the posts and a photo of Ro dressing Doug on set from her Facebook profile. All I kept thinking about during 2019 was how to maximise the exposure of the haunt for maximum footfall and therefore money raised for charity!
■ There's always tomorrow as they say, and if you're reading this far, then I can't say when or where, but my plans are to continue prop building and putting on displays in the near future...
